1 - Customer lead

2 - Sales quealification process

 A sales qualification process starts, according to the CHAMP (CHAMP: CHallenges, Authority, Money, and Prioritization)           methodology:

       The elements of the CHAMP methodology are checked in parallel in order to speed up things:

  • The CHallenges are to be checked: Does the prospect have a business pain you can solve? Determine if your product or service represents the best fit for the defined opportunity. (Consultant checks)
  • Authority: Does your contact have adequate authority to sign off on a purchase? You must ask your prospect questions that help you map out their company’s organizational structure. (Sales checks)
  • The accounting department check if the customer has Money: Your accounting department performs a credit check on the customers business.
  • The sales checks the Prioritization: When is the prospect planning to buy?

 

3 - Qualification meeting

A qualification meeting with our management is performed to look at the CHAMP findings. If after the meeting, the advice is to continue, the sales informs the customer of our intention to work on this request. If the advice is not to continue, the sales informs the customer of the fact he will not get a reply from us.

 

4 - Teams will start working

Now the following teams will start working at the same time:

  • A solutions team will work out the project solution. Once ready with that activity, the solution team uses this as input for the financial calculation activity
  • Our sales has a follow-up meeting with the customer. Trying to get hold of the customers budget is an important objective for this meeting.

 

5 - Management Meeting 

When done, a management meeting is held which gives the final go/no-go and approves the profit margin to use. If no-go, the customer is informed he will not receive a proposal. If go, the final proposal is prepared by the Solution team, and handed to the customer by the sales.
